A pastor’s daughter saturated in Christian service from childhood, I naively believed that for those who follow the rules, life is good in return. That faith was shaken when betrayal and business failure set my life on parallel paths of divorce and bankruptcy. Thirty-three years of marriage and the only career I’d known—seemingly my whole world—were gone, and my very identity seemed to evaporate.

God had a bigger plan. As He walked me through a long healing process, He gave me a new passion for broken lives that carried me to Romania, Burma, Thailand, the Congo, Venezuela and frequently to Rwanda, ministering hope and healing to hurting women.

Involved in traditional church work, I began public speaking at an early age, developing a storytelling gift and have been speaking and teaching for more than 30 years nationally and internationally. Whether speaking to large audiences, presenting a relevant Bible concept to my women’s group or sharing one-on-one with a hurting friend, I have developed the ability to relate to women’s concerns.

My book "Made Again – A Journey from Brokenness to Joy" was released in November, 2009. Using life-tested truths, the book illuminates—with simple, clear illustrations drawn from experience—a path to help the reader see God’s plan in the unexpected events of life.

For times when life seems to close in, this book is a thought-provoking and challenging source to offer renewed hope, a stronger sense of purpose, and a deepened level of trust in the faithfulness of God.
